An alligator(or possibly a caiman)annoy.gif has been found in Chew Valley reservoir in Somerset. The 2ft long juvenile reptile, was first discovered by a member of the public, who raised the alarm after it hissed at him as he was out walking. Officials from the local water company that runs the reservoir, which is popular with local families and children in the summer months, found the creature, which can grow to over 11ft long, sunning itself at the waters edge, where they eventually managed to catch it in a net but not before it had tried to escape back into the water.

It won't survive long. The cold winter temperatures is no friend to these coldblooded reptiles. * +
