Subject: Man Flies......

Someone did a very similar topic here about a guy who flew from Scotland to London via Germany(or it might have been Belgium), because it was cheaper than the train. He even said he could have done it quicker than by train as well if he'd planned the trip slightly better in advance and caught the very next flight from his European stop to London. As it was, he went and had a coffee in a nice cafe, then took a short sightseeing bus tour around whichever city it was to take some photos, before catching his second flight and it had still only added an extra hour or so to the journey time. * +

Flights to and from Schipol airport in the Netherlands take anywhere between 45-75mins to anywhere in the UK, depending on the airport and the weather conditions. I've flown Schipol to Leeds/Bradford in well under an hour with a following wind
, taking into account the time zone difference, it actually felt like we'd arrived back in Blighty 8mins before we'd set off.
Theoretically it should be possible to fly between any 2 UK airports via any airport of a similar distance on the continent in around about a couple of hours, give or take half an hour or so. * +

Just a matter of timing the connecting flights to minimise the transfer/waiting times and finding cheap ticket deals on both. * +

Will
take all this into consideration the next time I travel to Europe. *
