Am a regular visitor to Berlin and after a night out there (where smoking inside public places is allowed unless food is being served there) its pretty disgusting how bad my clothes smell afterwards. That, and the fact people who work in service who dont wish to inhale second hand smoke, means for me it should not be allowed and we have it right in this country. * +

Isn't it more like 15 years it's been banned? I know it was banned 12 years ago at least coz we were in Mexico smoking in pubs and restaurants saying how wonderful it was being allowed to smoke in doors * +

I was at the bar last night thinking about the days when the bottom of the bar was an ash tray that ran the full length of the bar. Had a flash back to the days of just throwing a b*tt in while waiting for a drink. It was so normal to smoke inside. Even non smokers owned ash trays and let their friends smoke inside their houses. These days i can't stand the smell of it. Some people smell really bad from it. But hardly anyone smokes anymore also *
