I like lots of 60s music. A neighbour recently recommended a band called The Wooden Ships..they sound quite space trippy,Hawkwind like..really hypnotic. * +

Erasure. It has been around since the 80s. They're from England.
To be honest, I'm not familiar with most English/American bands/artists. And I love Evanescence! I came across it when I was in year 8 or 9 (back in 2007) * +

Monkey Majik, a Canadian-Japanese pop-rock band. They have decent English and Japanese songs.
They are not very popular outside Japan, so I doubt most of you would know the band. * +

Anyway, there is a decent rock band named 'Flow', also from Japan. They sing Japanese songs only, though. If that's your thing, you might like them... * +
