after some controversy in other subject i think its a good idea to discuss the issue of healthy debate and discussion, the key area i wish to clear up is what ppl choose as a form of debate because what i see and have experienced is that often the actual subject is avoided or kept mute but theres a consistent effort to discredit a person and their character, which i believe to a form of mental abuse.. I agree that if a person says themself to be something the they open themself up to criticism o * +

-of that claim however when somebody else says that a person is this or that it is unfair for the 'accused' to spend the whole discussion defending that accusation, especially if the 'subject' is sidelined and persistent 'battle' ensues.. * +

i have to ask: it was u free choice to enter the subject right? To enter a subject about principles of debate to say you dont take part in silly debates was your choice and nobody influenced u? The author has at any point contacted you to give a response at all? * +
