So I was wondering, have you ever had a pang of regret that someone has passed a certain time, age, era and you'd wished that they hadn't because you wish you could have done something with that person, or they could have been a true friend/lover?

You know right now that due to age and time it would never be possible again, so it's a little disappointing?.

I say that to say this... I have a coworker who's like 20 years older than me. She's a Russian woman with a thick accent despite living in America for over 25 years. She's so witty, smart, raunchy and funny and I would have liked going out for drinks or hanging out with her. Probably even being her friend.

She was in the Caribbean the other day, came back all sunburnt. We were chatting a bit about it and she's usually asking me about my travel plans. She recommended Portugal and said if she was closer to my age she'd come along with me, and I thought about it. If she's so much fun now I can only imagine 20 years ago. I would have really enjoyed her company. So then I thought oh man, that will never happen. Isn't life funny?

Does this ever happen to you? Could be a missed interaction with someone platonically or romantically. * +

Yes, that's just one of the many things I think about while laying in bed and not sleeping. Insomnia2.gif * +

Idk, why not just hang out with her in a different context? She's only 20 years older than you, she's not dead what.gif * +

just got back from barcelona, my nephew has been living there for 8 months or so. We met up and had a really good time. My nephew is 28 and i havnt seen him much over the years, what with me living 250 miles away then him going off to uni etc. since he was about 10 years old iv probably seen him 2 or 3 times. Anyway turns out he is a really nice guy. I wish i had made more of an effort to keep in touch in the past. * +
