Would you or have you committed a parent to an old aged home?? I was very upset when I overheard a client of mine talk to some1 about getting her mom in a home I've seen her mom on a few occasions apart from the usual old age ailments her mind is as sharp as any1 I've seen. I don't get why people shud commit their folk to home. Is it so hard to care for ones parent yourself instead of shifting the burden?? * +

(Dunno) people have lives and jobs, not everyone has time to care for elderly parents.
Mine's going in a home at the first sign of dementia (confetti) * +

It would depend on the circumstances at the time. It's not something i'm planning on doing but i'm not planning on looking after them either. * +

No I get that molly flaps, but it just upset me that this woman has the money to have her mam looked after at home she's well loaded and the way she spoke about having her mom committed just broke my heart. I get some ppl do not have an option n I guess I just got emotional cos I'd Neva do that to my mom :(... Least not while she's ill and I can't care for her. Parents just want to be loved and not shoved in an old age home u know??x * +
