There was a disgusting smell coming from it,so I emptied it washed all the shelves,washed all the surfaces and the holders inside the door etc,there was nothing out of date or rotting inside it and the smell is still there! Why? * +

does your fridge have a little hole to drain away water at the back fairly low down somewhere ? this usually fills up with water that goes stagnant if you have one... * +

Yes I pulled the fridge out as there is a tray at the back to collect the water,it was empty!! * +

hmm, you could try (while it's pulled out) pouring water down the hole to see if it's blocked. * +
