I was flung into a distant future epoch, all the continents were warped out of the familiar shapes we know today. All human societal values were likewise warped out of shape and I suspected that some sort of artificial intelligence was in charge of 'guiding' humanity in various ways. Sexual reproduction was frowned upon, I'm not even sure people knew how to reproduce naturally anymore. People were generally in large masses together out in public, but they all went home alone.. This was enforced at different levels ie: automated monitoring systems and by the population as a whole (though it seemed at this particular point in time that the older generation took it upon themselves to ensure people remained in a solitary state). Say you are coming home with someone, you can't both enter the building at the same time - the door simply won't open. It's like a set of traffic lights that herds and separates people to where they are supposed to go instead of vehicles. * +
