I've a couple of table lamps I need to test, none them have a rating plate though and I can't access the plug. How can I find out if they are class 1 or 2? Thanks * +

Put your fingers in a socket to check for a power supply.If it bites you then you know they need a earth.If not just plug one in and if nothing happens try fingers again, except lick them 1st. * +
