And what about the farmers who need large amount of people for a short time, they wouldn't be able to take them on if they had to pay minimum wage. The farms would eventually shut down and we would end up having to import the most basic of foods.

wrong, if you wish to enter agreement or contract for a set amount- job fee etc thats up to u, but theres no obligation.. Say the farmer has 20 acre of potatoes, he says i will likely get x amount for all that he then says to the workers- if u pull up abc amount i will give u a portion of x amount as pay for services.. I believe thats contract- however things like safety/hygene/equipment is different because the farmer still needs to provide that in order for the worker to pull up abc, when these lines are blurred its 'dodgy' * +

A farmer is not going to pay casual workers a percentage of his profit, he will pay them an hourly rate. For 1 thing he won't know the size of his crop until it's harvested and he won't know what the market price will be until he sells them. Bad weather during the growing period and harvesting can have a huge influence on prices. * +

well in all honesty im not a farmer so i dont truly know, it was u that said in a hurry the farmer would need to lower pay and if thats the case so be it i say that is for the farmer to work out against his market, but if i were to do it i would think of it in the terms i wrote here.. Also bare in mind the present globalist system farmers are in dispute with, the eu parliament building got sprayed with milk a while back, i would take things like that onboard when discussing the eu.. * +

It's the eu who have made it difficult for farmers in some countries so they can make it profitable for farmers in others * +
