Just seen an advert for the new Cinderella film, and she's STILL wearing glass slippers - the story was originally badly translated into French, where 'fur' became 'verre' (the French for 'glass') I mean FUR slippers, yeah sure, but who on earth would wear GLASS slippers? It's hard to believe that a sloppy translation has become legend.. * +

Well if they were fur, it wouldn't be hard for her sisters to put them on. Surely they wouldn't be more than two sizes different, and fur shoes one size different would fit fine.

Try putting a pair of glass shoes on that are two sizes too small. * +

@mikeymk
An interesting, if somewhat specious point - please feel free to upload a video of yourself, or anyone else, dancing in glass slippers.. perhaps that's where the term 'red carpet' came from.. * +
