WADA today released their report on the allegations of a state sponsored Russian doping programme and it's a lot worse than people were expecting. The report concludes that ''Russia's sports ministry 'directed, controlled and oversaw' manipulation of urine samples provided by its athletes.'' and ''found conclusive evidence that 580 positive tests by Russian athletes, across 30 different sports'', were systematically covered up by Russian doping officials.
Russia's track and field athletes have already been banned from competing at next month's Olympics in Rio and today's report has brought renewed calls for a blanket ban on all Russian athletes from competing in international competitions. * +
