No, the topic isn't filtered. We've all seen people doing it, perhaps you've done it yourself, walking around blissfully unaware of your surroundings due to being immersed in social media on a smartphone. Firstly, to anyone who does this,STOP IT, it's bloody ignorant and rude. Apparently authorities in Belgium consider text walkers to be such a problem for other pedestrians, that they have now introduced specially designated 'text walking' lanes on certain footpaths in both Brussels and Antwerp.
Personally, I think they should just give police the right to shoot anyone spotted doing it on sight. * +

Having said all that, I did see one text walker who walked straight into a lamp post, which was quite funny but generally it's just bloody annoying. Especially as most of them seem to think it's upto you to get out of their way. * +
