Ok, I live in uk, where it is currently cold... Many of you live elsewhere where it is currently hot...would it be possible to create a global network of pipes that could pump cold air to hot places and hot air to cold areas? Would someone in Australia want nice chilly air from my back garden pumped directly into their house in exchange for some nice ozzy warmth pumped into my front room? * +

getting cold to the southern hemisphere would be easy...cold air is denser than warm so it would sink down to oz, and the warm air would natuarly rise to banbury... * +

I wouldn't want UK air. No offense, but yuck. * +

Why doesn't that happen anyway? If heat rises then it shouldn't be cold up here and hot down there, there's plenty of air space for it to travel.. * +

Yeah I was a bit windy earlier, you don't want that. * +

It is currently -3 C over here with some light snow, anyone want to trade? (chin)
Oops, I should say that the wind is blowing strongly out of the North with a windchill of -12 C. * +

Uk air is ok at the moment, it's coming in from the Atlantic, it's when we get the filthy air blowing in from France that I'd understand your distaste... And sometimes, rarely, we get air from Africa, complete with sand from the Sahara...very unpleasant... * +
