Just been reading A mother who illegally claimed income support, housing benefit, and council tax relief has been ordered to pay back 40000pounds. Council and dwp officials agreed she could pay back 5pounds a week. It will take her 154years to pay it all back. * +

As long as they stop her benefits, take her home and her assets off her to pay off the debt , I doubt it though in this soft country. TIME FOR CHANGE it's happening, slowly but it's happening. * +

Basically they left the debt for underaged children to pay..... bbasically till they grow old and die .... surely will take few generations to pay it off... can it get even more ridiculous? just wtf * +

The debt will die with her, her kids wont have to pay it. It's 5 pounds per week because that is most likely all she can afford to pay, courts don't order you to pay more than you can afford. If her income increases then so can the amount per week. * +
