I know that on a forum I'm a moderator on, deleting a boatload of old threads resolved a lot of lag issues, although that's obviously a different format but I'm sure the principles are the same. Surely the server for this site can't have infinite amounts of storage for countless 'which do you prefer?' questions and suchlike. * +

Why not try unpinning them, let those who struggle clear Thur cache and log out, and hen log n again and see if it makes any difference. Nothing to lose. Probably not the pin but hey ho. * +
