Windows phone 7 is a big improvement over the old windows mobile but it does have quite a few issues at present. Microsoft are graudually releasing updates though. Like carta said you maybe advised to wait and iam not entirely convinced win phone 7 will capture the market as microsoft think. Many people in the industry believe its arrived to late to have any impact which isnt a good sign. * +

That could mean that it may dissapear as quickly as it arrived. Iam not surprised to see how many win phone 7 devices HTC have released, they allways loved windows mobile under the various incarnations of xda, mda and spv. Without HTC win phone 7 may have failed allmost immediatly. If nokia make win phone 7 phones and do their deal with microsoft that could mean another major boost for platform * +

Although I Cant imagine why consumers would pick a nokia windows phone with a 680mhz cpu when they can buy a HTC with 1ghz or even dual core for the same price. If nokia are going to compete they will have to change their stratagy on processor speed, especially in the windows platform otherwise people will just go elsewhere. * +

In the slower cpu speed hasnt put consumers off nokia because there were other factors unique to nokia phones that most thought were more important than the processor. But in the windows market nokia will loose that those unique points because of the restrictions microsoft place on win phone 7. * +

So basically unless nokia are prepared to either match or beat the htc hardware they will not sell. * +

Nokia have allways been reluctant to use faster cpu's claiming it to be a battery life issue when in reality its probably related to cost. Its a pointless attitude in todays smartphone world as most smartphone users are accustomed to charging their device on a regular basis in any case. Its accepted as part of parcel with a modern smartphone. * +
