my teenager son wants a new touch phone but i'm not sure what to get....i haven't got loads of money so it gotta be a low end priced phone. Its a toss up between the Samsung Apollo, Xperia X8, Xperia X10 mini pro or the Samsung Monte :( their the cheapest smartphones on contract. Any help would be great as I really dont have a clue! * +

I hate to advise anyone on phones, as it's very much 'each to their own' - but find out what format your son likes his music in (mp3/aac etc.) or preferred video format (3gp/mp4 etc.) or if he's a big gamer, then choose the one that covers his needs best. Sites like Mobileburn or CNET that review and contrast phones may be useful for narrowing it down - mobile shops usually aren't. * +

Avoid anything S60, its dead. Would highly recommend the HTC Wildfire-S: http://is.gd/yOlxj0 it should be out this month, latest Android2.3 ,600mhz CPU, Facebook, Twitter, excellent GMail and GMaps intergration, decent 3.2inch display with 320x480 res, excellent web browser with HTML5 and Adobe Flash10.2 support, plus excellent JavaScript management etc. its a little yet very affordable machine * +

x10min pro will b my choice. i stil cant figure out th bluetooth on it tho. * +

nah didnt update. sending is quite tricky. also dont like screen resolution compared to higher end phones. its not as smooth as x1i. i originally got th x1i but decided to have x10min pro also. this is gtr1 btw. * +

lol, oh hey gtr! I'd recommend updating to 2.1, it should be better, but yeah the screen res is cr*p its only 240x320. * +
