Have you got a section in 'settings' called something like 'long press x button' or similar? You may be accidentally closing them by tapping 'x' - make sure you set it to only close apps if you HOLD DOWN on the 'x' icon. The only other possibility is insufficient RAM, in which case have a Google for 'CleanRAM PPC', there's an app that should sort you out. *
