is it possible to format it? got opera mobile on it and when i go to gmail it takes me to the mobile version and it never used to,i have tried uninstalling it and downloading it again but when i open opera it still has all my old bookmarks * +

only way to format or do a factory reset, is to fully reflash your n900. there's a full how to tutorial over on the maemo.org website :) * +

have you tried purging opera when its installed? as root apt-get --purge remove opera-mobile * +
