I wasn't aware that 6.5 devices came without default equalization, but to be honest the default music players on ANY device since Adam was a little lad tend to be pretty rank regardless of any equalization setting you can apply. My advice would be to download a third-party player like Conduits Pocket Player or TCMP Coreplayer, both of which have equalization. There are links to both in this forum, but if you get stuck I'll dig 'em out. * +

Coreplayer is not compatible with WM6.5, I dont understand why most 6.1 apps are not compatible with 6.5

Yeah, the latest 'friendly' build I know of is: v1.3.6.Build.7427 and it's certainly reported to work on WM6.5. * +
