I'm so sorry, 'cos it must be awful, and I'd be spitting nails if it was me, but when I look into these things I look as if it WAS me, I can't believe there's no answer for what is a really common problem. If I come up with anything I'll definitely let you know. * +

Ah, I didn't know you'd done that - if you've searched for the hours that I have now you'll have seen various posts on xda with regard to firmware updates/flashing and the fact that only the PDA element sometimes gets updated and leaves the 'phone' element floundering - you may need to re-flash/re-install but I'd advise you to read up on xda prior to doing so. * +
