Found a solution, is chargable but it works! Go to options - advanced options - tcp / ip - and configure the apn name to 'internet' works beautifully, however wen u wanna go back to free browsing on ur bb remember to remove this apn * +

Yeah, all java apps I have tested worked fine, some strange apps might give u problems (as with all blackberry's) the solution to this is posted above but this then makes that specific app chargable when using the internet apn instead of blank apn (blackberry.net) * +

changing apn to internet still doesnt work for me on and i have followed this and the other tips from the webforum which strangely enuf i can access via opera mini but no other chat app like , qeep, the Grid, etc..... also any1 here know how to connect to internet as a pc modem using a blackberry on vodacom? * +

I'm thinking of getting the curve on vodacom in SA and I want to know if browsing is completely free or are there restrictions on file type and size also I heard something about a flashing b and if you dont have it on the screen then youll be charged, is this true * +

Vodacom blackberry terms and conditions show browsing is free (on device browsing), email up to 8mb free (that is for email and attachments), media files like mp3 an movies up to 3mb free, all other blackberry related files like themes etc 5mb. Best to confirm with them first cause I got these figures in a vodacom book and might nowq be outdated or changed * +
