The CEO of HTC, in an interview yesterday, spoke of the companies commitment to Windows Phone (formerly Windows Mobile). When asked about rumors of a second HD2 coming out with Android, he quickly squashed them. According to him, their devices with mondo screens will be reserved exclusively for Windows Phones. He said that Android is an excellant OS, though Google ventures can be dangerous..cont.. * +

He didn't elaborate on what dangerous meant, he feels the company owes Microsoft a great deal. He admits the developement of Windows Phone is slower than he'd like, it is a rock solid OS. Show HTC and Windows Phone some love everyone and grab the HD2! ;-) * +

I must admit I'm not keen on the Android OS. HTC have now started running ads on British tv, which is really great 'cos it may stop people saying: 'You've got a WHAT?' 
. I'm not utterly committed to the WM OS, but it is so logical, which is why you don't see loads of 'HELP!' posts in this forum. * +

I think HTC is positioning itself to be a global market player. They have all they need to overtake most, if not all, manufacturers. * +

Polo, thats thing. Most Americans have never even heard of Nokia, yet NO Nokia ads. And a full third of the worldwide smartphone sales are here. Of the Big 3 providers only 1 has a Nokia device, yet ALL 3 have some variant of HTC's Touch Pro 2, Diamond 2, and at least 3 Android devices. * +
