Magic has same hardware as Hero in RAM and ROM, so im sure what ever Hero gets updated to the Magic will get up dated to,even if its via 3rd party at XDA. * +

That is a great thing about HTC devices. All are easily updateable, even if its not an official update. Most of our roms at xda are way better than the stock roms, too. * +
