Coreplayer is coming to the Android platform and will be the one to 'get' as mentioned as Android phones don't have the relevant codecs for mpeg playback, but TCMP will usually install them. Whilst you're waiting you could install the Meridian player from the market which will play most of your video files and (apparently) includes a link to easy file conversion for any of your existing video file * +

I do apologise, coming from a Nokia background I thought you might know that TCMP = The Core Media Player (coreplayer). It'd be worth checking their website regularly for updates on the Android release as it's likely to be the best all-rounder as it is on most platforms: http://www.coreplayer.com but in the short term it may be best to do as I suggested earlier. * +
