Many customers who bought Omnia phone were very angry, that Samsung is using Omnia moniker also to depict new Symbian phone - Omnia HD, not to mention the fact that they were disappointed also in Samsung picking such an inferior operating system for their beloved phone series. It is therefore good to see that Omnia HD is being renamed to Samsung i8910 and Omnia brand will be reserved for Windows Mobile phones only. * +

Samsung explains this change of heart in this way:To avoid confusion between the original Omnia, which is Windows Mobile, and OmniaHD, which is Symbian, Samsung is deferring to the model number. * +

fanboyish!msmobiles do nothing but winge over mobiles names,3.5mm jacks and multi touch.even the sites followers are getting p ed off with it all the time. * +

Well SAMSUNG have said that they will keep it named Omnia HD and only change it to i8910-HD in a few countries where theres bn confusion. * +
