I'm sorry, I'm not ignoring your question, I just genuinely don't know the answer and it would appear that no one else does either.. logic suggests that it might be worth formatting it again as perhaps your original format was interrupted in some way and didn't return the phone to its factory settings correctly. Ensure your battery's well charged prior to formatting, but that's all I can suggest. * +

use the hardware hard reset. if you go to xda-developers and look in the prophet section for help. they will know best. and dont listen to dadoggle. he always spouts s**t and gives the wrong advice. taking out the battery then installing an os is uterly useless unless you have a sony ericsson. the tw*t probably doesnt even own a pda or htc device. * +
