I'm afraid there's no such thing - .dat files are usually data files from applications, they're not video or anything. If you mean you wish to 'view' the contents of a .dat file you can do so by highlighting it in an explorer app such as Total Commander, then pressing 'edit'. * +

@garion yes .dat files can be videos, if I remember right they are vcd or something like, but I have never heard of a player for phones for them though * +

Have a look through any folder in 'Application Data' on a Windows Mobile device and you'll fine lots of .dat (data) files. * +

But @cha17 - I've just had a look on media convert, and there's no video format listed as .dat - it's possible I guess that you've downloaded a vid which has turned up on your phone with that extension (possibly to be hidden from a filehost that doesn't allow hotlinking of video files) so in that case it'd be worth highlighting the file name in a third-party explorer app and changing the extension * +

to '3gp', click on it and see if it plays, if not change it to 'mp4' then 'wmv' etc until it opens (or doesn't) you can't harm your phone or the file itself by doing so. * +
