I am using an Omnia and it seems by default ( or I could be mistaken ) that even with Wi-Fi on, applications that require internet connectivity do not use the Wi-Fi connection, instead use the phones 3G/EGDGE/GPRS connection because its still able. Is there anyway to kill of the 3G and Edge connection, or is my settings messed up ? Any suggestions, help, solutions will be much appreciated. * +

im no expert on samsungs but try conection settings there you should find the settings. or what i would do is deleat you gprs settings than try conect and it should say no settings found and you should find a sub menu saying use wifi. you could even just activate wifi befor you do any thing and than conect. should work * +
