I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea whether or not this would remove the Windows update or not, and I'm hoping someone else will be able to answer that one. * +

According to htc.com u can't remove an update. * +

thanx for the help. but i tryed clear storage and that fixed the problem it changed back 2 when i had the update installed which was yesterday than just activesynct the thing and good as new * +

Oh that's cool then. Sometimes if your device is really screwed, your start menu, programs and settings may not be accessible so you may not have been able to reach 'clear storage' which is the easiest way to format a functioning device. *
