hi! i have a htc touch and im using orange pay/go. ive set my devery notification to on so i always know when it arrived. however, i only get delivery notifications once ive open Messaging..then ill get it as a text..is it normal? i thot ull get delivery notifications even though youre on home screen... * +

i get the pop up even on the home screen. you have to untick the option to get delivery notifications from the sms/mms options if you dont want to have them as text. * +

yeah but i do want delivery notifications But i dunt receive it until i open Messaging.. * +

i get the notifications as pop up even if i untick the option that i said above. i use the HD. maybe its not the same on your device. have you tried to change the home screen app? set the default one (not the one from HTC) and try again if you get the notification.dont know what else could do the trick im new on this lol. * +

go to settings, sounds and notifications, notifications then find messaging- new text message and tick the play sound, and show notification. that should sort out the lack of message alerts * +

done that on notifications settings..my call/end buttons just light up when i get delivery notification but doesnt show at all but my normal texts i get fine.. * +

aaah you mean sms delivery notice. thats in mms settings. its netwrk dependent though so first check if your network accepts delivery notifications.go to messaging, menu, mms options and be sure allow delivery report and allow read report is ticked. and in messaging go to menu, tools, options, sms/mms annd tick the box request delivery notifications * +

but if he does that he will get notifications as text message also. *
