Hi all again, so im upgrading in a wks time and for sum strange reason the handsets that are free on my contract are mainly WM devices, and i realy like the TouchDual, I would have gone for the SAMSUNG i780 bt theres just sumthng i hate about it. Anyway im busy reading the TouchDual review at SMAPE And the reviewr mentions that ths model has GPS and Wi-Fi bt that they wil nt be activated. * +

what network you planning on getting it on? I have the t-mobile version of the touch dual, in fact I'm using it now to write this reply. if you take a look on the touch dual section on xda- developers you will see they are working towards unlocking the GPS and WiFi but are having trouble with the GPS but moving closer to figuring out the WiFi. why I asked what network is because t-mobile w-n-w * +

I find I don't even miss WiFi with web-n-walk because I never have to worry about how much data I use because they never really monitor it anyway and the touch dual has HSDPA. the phone is very light and easy to use that I use it more than my tytnII. but I got the touch plus for a summer phone because its so thin and light its very pocket friendly. I will probably still go back to the tytnII * +

when the weather gets cool enough to wear a jacket because that's where I normally kept the tytnII. but I have to admit I don't miss the tytnII because I hardly used the WiFi anyway because I used my t-mobile sim with the w-n-w and I have a GPS bluetooth receiver to use for my touch plus and tomtom * +

thanx don_won ,im in South Africa, im geting it on Vodacom (Vodafone) and already have a 1GB per month data bundle bt i use Wi-Fi sumtimes wen trying to save up the bundle, im not too concernd about GPS. It seems like a nice lil PDA/Smartphone, il just have to use the Wi-Fi on my Nokia N81 when i nd to. Thanx again! * +

i checked xda-developers and they are close to getting the wifi working, they got it working for 5 hours before the phone crashed, they think its an spl problem because the spl waa reverted back afrer the crash to the original spl. but it does show its possible and just a matter of time until its available for all touch duals outside of japan, right niw only japan have the touch duals with wifi * +
