It's a bug that's been around since around the time vodafone live! was released. vodafone ARE aware of the problem and have been for a long time, but due to the small number of Australians that use the mobile Internet (WAP), they're not in any real hurry to get rid of it... * +

There are plans to merge vodafone's internal pre-paid and post-paid systems late next year, which may or may not fix this GPRS bug. If it doesn't, I doubt that vodafone will be that concerned since they're planning on launching their 3G service mid-next year... * +

vodafone won't pick up on it unless they specifically go looking for GPRS activity on an account with no credit, which they won't do unless you do something stupid (like ring up customer care and ask for the GPRS settings when you have no credit)... This bug only affects pre-paid customers. * +

I'm not sure on that one. I think it has something to do with the fact that they use different billing systems... You know that multimedia messaging is LEGITIMATELY free on vodafone, don't you? Until the 31st of January, you can send free photo-multimedia messages to any phone in Australia, to Vodafone NZ customers and to any E-Mail address in the world! * +

You need to have at least 75c on your account to be able to send free multimedia messages, but you won't get charged for them (subject to the terms and conditions below). Does not include video-multimedia messaging, multimedia messages must include at least one picture to be charge-free and there is a limit of 500 free multimedia messages per number, per month. * +
