Updates are usually provided by the mobile provider when the phone is activated. But with only 34 mb of onboard memory, why bother? *

If it'll run java, it might be worth having a look at Opera Mini - extremely fast and the amount of data transferred is compressed, hence saving you money. Obviously it's an alternative, not an update to your default, but many people here use it, go to: m.opera.com using your default browser. *
