actually it is only a sound younger people can hear, its down to the frequencies you can hear at a younger age that you cant as you get older, your hearing is more accute at around the age of 10-19 as you get older you can not hear as high a frequency as you could when you was young. its all about aging and losing your ability to hear high frequency sound. so it effects teens but not adults.. * +

Well u must have to b pritty old not to hear it coz i know ppl from 10 to 50 that can hear it and why dont teens just put there phone on silent and use vibrate instead of wasting money on this cr*p. Oh and the teacher will know your phone rang when they see you answer it lol. * +

if 50 year olds are hearing it then its not the proper tone. ive tried listening to the proper tone and heard nothing, yet somone half my aga couldnt stand listening to it. * +
