It will work on pay and go, even on the web via GPRS. broadband speed is only available where you can find a WI-FI or WIRELESS LAN link. These are known as hotspots. In most cases you have to subscribe to these services unless you are lucky enough to find a private hotspot that has no security actiuated, some do exist. The XDA 2i is not 3g compatable.
