Could be dozens of reasons. Faulty charger? Try the charger with a 'modern' NEC 3g phone and see if it works with that. Both the NEC 313 and 616/616V use the same mains charger. Its a process of elimination * +

Some 606's had faulty charge sockets, in which case you have had it cos they aint worth repairing. If you do get it working remember you cant use MMS on these phones when outside 3g coverage cos the phone doesnt have GPRS. it relies entirely on the 3g system * +

Dont chuck the phone, its worth holding onto untill you find out whats wrong. The colour display on the 606 is excellent. Infact i thought it was better than the 616, and i had both phones. Unfortunatly my 606 was stolen. * +

If you ever get it working try and get hold of the high capacity battery, you will need it. It lasts much longer with this battery. Or indeed try out a new battery anyway if you can find one. The newer NEC's have different batteries unfortunatly. * +
