A band that sounds like katatonia definitely has to be October tide, which is also founded by members of katatonia. The vocals are harsh, but it still has the same 'feel' to that of any neo-katatonia song. I can't really suggest any band though that sounds purely like katatonia, because frankly they are just that original. * +

the tribute album is amazing,hunt it down if you not heard it yet,well worth a listen,other band I suggest is forgotten tomb,for early p lost type stuff some good UK bands around that era were chorus of ruin and chapel of rest,Neolithic from Poland worth a check too * +

i totally agree with that. Katatonia has really specific sound, especially their new releases, that atmosphere and the way of his vocal arrangment is really unique. * +
