You'd be surprised how many non-pop acts use auto-tune. Most studio engineers will use it for minor corrections, rather than having to record a whole vocal section again. Just because pop acts abused the use of it, doesn't make auto-tune a bad thing. It's a very useful tool in the right hands and used minimally * +
