not even close anduan. Prog is bad for it too. . . I do like these styles more than the stoner rock influenced doom. Check out Grivf * +

Cathedral and Candlemass,suprised they havent been mentioned since theyre pretty much the pioneers in doom metal...Anduan there are indeed many subgenres to metal,doom has actually been around for about 20 years though and is one of the better genres i think-aimed at slowing metal down to very slow tempos,its an acquired taste but still a good subgenre * +
