on guitar neck they say it has 4 octaves. I have a question is between every 5frets or so an octave? cause I noticed they play across strings and stay within 5 frets roughly when doing solos and then oftern jump many frets down as if they are jumping up an octave. cheers. *

An octave is 12 notes, 2 octaves (at most) per string *

I compose things on piano, I always wonderd how to take this over to guitar and play on fretboard. on guitar at the moment I just rely on tab and chord books, but I like to compose my own things and it seems rather daunting to transfer ideas over to guitar lol *
