How on earth is Hidden not Mercury nominated?! Album of the year so far, by a mile. It has no right to work, but every track does. Anyone with an open mind should atleast hear 'We Want War'. Preferably loud. * +

I adire it more than I enjoy it. It's certainly important and great, etc but I still don't know if I enjoy it. And the Mercury is always awful anyway. * +

The Mercs have BECOME awful, but it was not always thus - it used to be the one music award based on creativity, innovation and excellence, but hit a low point when some sort of warped political correctness dictated that Speech Debelle would be a 'worthy' winner. * +

Agreed. It used to be a great award, then Speech Debacle proved its merits have declined. I've had a funny relationship with Hidden. Dipped in and out of it for months, skipping tracks. Started listening to it daily within last few weeks and it seems like it's finally sunk in. I genuinely adore it now. Can't speak highly enough of it. God knows how they play it live though. *
