Jeeesus, the review of 'The Suburbs' on the BBC site finishes with the lines, 'You could call it their OK Computer. But it's arguably better than that.' I'm officially overexcited now. This is Mike Diver reviewing, Drowned In Sound legend, NOT the d*mn NME. I trust this guy. Don't let me down. August 2nd and Reading festival can't come soon enough now. *

Well, my preorder copy turned up on Saturday, and I'm loving this album. Have to admit that it's taken 5 or 6 listens to start to sink in. It's nowhere near as immediate as the first two albums, and I missed some of the grander orchestration of those two LPs at first. The songs are really starting to get under my skin now though. Except for Sprawl part 2, which i just can't get along with. *
