Well, I narrowed my search to the Audio Technica ath-ad700 and the Sony mdr-v6... And bought the Sonys, they were half the cost of the others and, although the soundstage isn't as vast as the Audio Technicas, they have superior bass (not hard because apparently that's a huge weakness on the other set.) I'm very happy with these, they sound great straight out the box, so should be awesome in 200 hours or so. * +
