Rap is what an MC does. Anyone can rap but nt anyone who raps could be classed as an MC bcuz an MC is gifted in terms of how he puts his rhymes together and his ability to make his raps sounds really ill. Hip-Hop is all the elements combined as someone previously said in this topic. * +

well put @nas101, hip hop is all elements combined and rap is just one element of hip hop, so rap can't be hip hop, saying rap and hip hop is the same thing is like saying a car and a steering-wheel are the same thing. * +
