Right so i got the free upgrade from version 6 to 7 and has different added features.last night i was learning to dj'ing side of it which is easy stuff(crossfader,eq assign,track switching) it gave me two loops to play with.what they dont tell you is if and how you can use your own tracks you've bought of trackitdown or off cds. I got loads to use.can i load up a track from my laptop's memory.... * +

...or directly from cd and paste it onto ableton?if not then how the frig does it work?any help would be really useful.would possibly need you to one to one,inbox advice.post it here or bud me coz i'm still working out ableton and considering the full package of ableton needs expert tutorials i think i'm justified in asking for help with the demo version.plus im thick as pig s**t.please help * +

Just drop an mp3 or wav that you want to use onto an audio track(if you need to create one, go into arrangement view, right click underneath your existing track and select insert audio track) * +

Didnt work.my music folder kept coming up empty despite having tunes in when i accessed it through windows.when i went in through ableton it showed nothing * +

Try drag and dropping them directly into ableton from the folder window. * +

What so bring up ableton from the program menu.instead of clicking it just take a tune from the windows library and drop it straight on the Ableton live 7 selection?worth a try * +

Yeah, load up ableton. Create a new audio track on arrangment view, and add your EQ3 then open open a windows explorer window, find the mp3 and drag it onto the track you just made. That should work. I have probs loading things in occasionally * +
