Rap doesnt educate anyone IMO, but by the same token its not responsible for people going out and killing people etc. I think Gangster rap glamourise's guns and drug use etc and in general I am not a fan although I dont mind some rappers like DMX the majority I find quite annoying but thats just me. I much prefer rock music * +

there r plenty of rappers who rap about things other than what most rap critics assume all rappers r complaining about. artists such as common, talib kweli, q-tip, eve, and ludacris have all made songs about topics such as molestation, child abuse, domestic violence, police brutality in america, the downfall of hip hop, teenage pregnancy etc. also there r hip hop artists who use guitars, drums, the whole bit, that band is called the roots. 2pac, nas, jay-z have also made songs about the situatio * +
