This girl i knew really loved this band, she gave me a album to listen to, it was alright. They just don't grab your attention straight away. I dunno but i'm not a big fan * +

Primary Colours is amazing. It's definitely up there as one of the albums of the year so far. Anyone who's only heard material off Strange House will be hard pushed to recognise the band's sound. Think less Cramps and more My blood Valentine now. What a step forward. Love it! * +

Primary Colours is actually really good. Lots of influence from shoegaze, krautrock and post-punk there. Some dull tracks but Sea Within a Sea and Scarlet Fields are AMAZING. * +

The Horrors are a case of a band being dismissed and feeling a backlash, purely because they were adopted and hyped way too early by 'hipsters'. They went away, made a brilliant second album, came back, and shocked people with how good it is. Primary Colours speaks for itself. It can't be put down just because their earlier material didn't live up to hype. Listen to it! * +

The NME's hyperbole is just ridiculous. Every time i pick up The Delgados' Great Eastern CD, i laugh at the little sticker on it with the Nme's comment of 'The greatest songs in the history of recorded sound'. blood great album mind ha :) I stopped reading the mag after it's hyping up of The Vines and it's glamourising of Craig Nichols' problems. You could just smell that they wanted another * +

Kurt Cobain situation on their hands. Oh how they were proved so wrong about that band. Even the nme turned on them eventually. * +

Scarlet fields is really good. I think its ne of the best albums of the year along with grizzly bear and the woods albums. * +
